(4) MSc Project Overview

I am currently in the process of completing an MSc in Biology (Forest Ecology) from StFX University. My thesis is entitled

‘Disturbance related successional pathways in old-field forests within the Pictou-Antigonish highlands of Nova Scotia.’

My supervisors are Dr. Barry Taylor and Mark Pulsifer from the Department of Biology at StFX University in Antigonish, NS. My study area is located in the new Eigg Mtn – James River Wilderness Protected Area in Antigonish County, NS.

A key component of my research is examining temporal changes and succesion in forest vegetation using GIS and remote sensing.

I will be posting some of my key findings shortly.
