Hector MacIsaac: ‘A Man You Don’t Meet Everyday’ CD/DVD available

Hector MacIsaac breaks his 22 year silence with a remarkable new CD that breathes new life into the singing and storytelling tradition of Newfoundlands Codroy Valley.

‘A Man You Don’t Meet Everyday’ pays tribute to Hector’s uncle Jerome Downey, who perpetuated songs from the likes of Paul E. Hall and Hughie O’Quinn, to the modern day. MacIsaac’s personal touch to these same songs is testament to their timelessness. This unique CD release is accompanied by a 1 hr DVD produced by Seabright Productions, which visits the origin of this musical tradition; the Codroy Valley, and Downey himself.

Co-Produced by Ian Bryson and HectorMacIsaac.

Engineered by Bryan Melanson at Highballsound Productions
